This year’s annual Arbroath Seafest, which took place in August, saw several thousand people flock down to Arbroath's historic and picturesque harbour area, the centrepiece of which is the stunning Harbour Visitor Centre.
The Centre, located on the site of the former Gerrard's boatyard, for the first time, was home to two local shops, selling high quality art, soft furnishings, fashion accessories and much, much more.
The Harbour Studio, managed by Pat Renson, has recently expanded from the smaller retail unit at the Centre, into the larger of the two units, allowing the business vital space for expansion and growth.
Art on the Quay, which opened at the start of August at the Centre, has relocated from Arbroath’s High Street.
The companies are joined at the Centre by the St James Place Partnership, VisitScotland, and The Old Boatyard Restaurant.
For more information on the Centre, please contact Wilma Peter, Development Officer.
Arbroath Sea Fest is an annual festival of the Sea held along Arbroath's seafront and centring around the town's charming harbour and new marina. Established in 1997, Sea Fest is a popular celebration of Arbroath's marvellous maritime heritage, attracting 30,000 visitors over its two-day duration in August each year.
The Centre enhances the character of the area and has increased the range and quality of facilities on offer, improving the overall visitor experience which will benefit the Arbroath Harbour area, and the wider local economies of Arbroath and Angus alike.
