Harbour Visitor Centre, Arbroath

The Harbour Visitor Centre is the showpiece of a prestigious regeneration project by Angus Council to revitalise Arbroath's harbour and transform it into a key tourist attraction for visitors and residents alike.

The striking £1.8 million structure is home to a stunning multi media visitor information and orientation centre managed by national tourism agency, VisitScotland, a prestigious seafood restaurant - The Old Boatyard, public toilets, two retail units, home to The Harbour Studio, and Art on the Quay, and office accommodation for the St James Place Partnership.

A coach drop off point is located directly at the enterance to the centre to allow passengers to take advantage of the facilities at the centre and to explore the harbour area.

The Centre complements the recently extended inner harbour marina that now attracts well over 200 leisure craft each year - making the area the heart of a bustling new tourism development.  A newly built roundabout from the dual carriageway gives direct access from the town centre.

The final phase of the regeneration initiative saw the installation of pedestrian walkways, visitor signage, improved seating, lighting and public artwork - all aimed at making it a vibrant and lively focus for visitors.
